RYDCAST Driver Terms & Conditions
Version: 2026-07-09
The RYDCAST service for South African businesses is provided by RYDCAST South Africa (Pty) Ltd. The RYDCAST platform technology is developed and licensed by CastTech Inc. RYDCAST™ and the RYDCAST logo are trademarks of CastTech Inc.
These terms govern driver, vehicle-owner, and fleet-operator use of the RYDCAST platform.
1. Participant Role
You join RYDCAST as an independent driver, vehicle owner, or fleet operator participant. These terms govern account access, driver app use, device and vehicle registration, media-player operation, campaign payloads, proof-of-play, wallet credits, payouts, safety controls, and platform compliance.
2. No Guaranteed Earnings
RYDCAST may make campaigns available to eligible participants, but campaign volume, plays, scans, routes, audience exposure, proof validation, payouts, and earnings are not guaranteed. Payable events depend on live advertiser campaigns, campaign eligibility, safe device operation, geofence and schedule rules, verified proof, available advertiser budget, and platform compliance.
3. Licence, Authority, and Vehicle Compliance
You must hold every licence, permit, operating licence, vehicle registration, roadworthy certificate, insurance, consent, and authority required for your vehicle, route, transport activity, and jurisdiction.
You must not use RYDCAST if doing so would breach a road traffic law, transport law, vehicle licence condition, operating licence, fleet agreement, insurance condition, municipal rule, employer rule, finance agreement, passenger-service rule, or other legal obligation.
4. Law of the Land
You must comply with all laws that apply where you drive, where the vehicle is registered, where passengers are carried, where media is displayed or played, where payout is received, and where proof records are generated.
For South African participants, this includes road traffic law, public transport and operating-licence requirements, POPIA, tax law, consumer and safety laws, municipal bylaws, and any provincial or national rules that apply to the vehicle or service.
5. Safety First
Driver safety, passenger safety, and public safety always come before campaign delivery.
You must not use the RYDCAST app, media player, QR features, campaign controls, dashboards, proof tools, payout tools, or device settings while driving in a way that distracts you, blocks your view, interferes with vehicle controls, breaches traffic law, or creates risk.
Screens and media players must be installed and used safely. They must not obstruct the driver, distract the driver, create glare, interfere with airbags or controls, or display material in an unlawful or unsafe way.
6. Device, Media Player, and Vehicle Chain
You must register accurate device and vehicle information. You are responsible for pairing the right media player to the right vehicle and keeping the chain accurate.
You must report loss, theft, transfer, damage, tampering, unsafe installation, unauthorized device sharing, or a vehicle/device mismatch. You may not duplicate, spoof, clone, resell, or lend RYDCAST devices, media-player sessions, or proof systems without written platform approval.
7. Campaign Delivery Rules
Campaign payloads may be geofenced, time-limited, route-limited, category-restricted, age-restricted, budget-limited, or subject to manual review. You may not alter adverts, force plays, bypass media controls, target sensitive places, run blocked content, or intentionally create delivery outside the approved rules.
You may not use RYDCAST to advertise illegal goods or services, mislead passengers, harass the public, exploit minors, promote unsafe acts, or display content contrary to campaign policy or law.
8. Proof Integrity
Proof-of-play records must be genuine. GPS, proximity, QR, playback, screen, device, vehicle, route, timestamp, and payout records are audit data.
Fraud, replay attacks, artificial routes, spoofed GPS, edited telemetry, duplicate devices, false pairing, collusion, proof manipulation, fake QR scans, passenger coercion, or false claims may lead to rejected proofs, reversed wallet credits, withheld payouts, suspension, account closure, civil recovery, regulator reporting, and legal action.
9. Payouts, Reversals, and Tax
RYDCAST may credit, reverse, withhold, reconcile, or delay payouts where proof is invalid, advertiser budget is unavailable, a campaign is disputed, an account is under review, fraud or safety checks are pending, payout details are incomplete, or law requires checks.
You are responsible for tax, insurance, vehicle costs, licences, permits, fuel, maintenance, data costs, fines, and operating costs unless a separate signed written fleet agreement says otherwise.
10. Independent Relationship
These terms are not an employment contract unless RYDCAST and you sign a separate written agreement that says so. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory legal rights that a court, regulator, or applicable labour law gives you.
You decide whether to use the platform, subject to campaign availability, safety, compliance, and account status. RYDCAST may set platform rules for eligibility, proof, payout, device use, advertiser protection, and safety.
11. Account Suspension and Closure
RYDCAST may pause earning mode, remove campaigns, disable devices, suspend a participant, close an account, preserve records, reject proofs, or withhold payout where required for safety, fraud prevention, unpaid balances, disputes, insurance claims, regulator requests, legal obligations, or platform integrity.
12. Policy Updates
RYDCAST may update these terms, driver policy rules, proof requirements, safety controls, payout mechanics, privacy notices, or technical requirements as laws, routes, advertisers, vehicles, media-player hardware, processors, and the platform change.
Current terms must be accepted before continued earning activity.
